Beer Radar

Jack Curtin mentioned last week the arrival of Philly Beer Scene. I don’t have much more on it other than to confirm it’s real and they’ll be throwing a pre- and post-party at Manny Brown’s/Neshaminy Mall in conjunction with the screening of Beer Wars on April 16th.y

Scott Wiley, the manager at the aforesaid Manny Brown’s (probably the best shopping mall beer selection in the vicinity), is the publisher. He reports the first issue will be June 6. Though it’ll have a $20 yearly subscription (6 issues), you’ll also find it free in select bars and restaurants.

I don’t know the other folks involved, but they include Neil Harner, a local web designer (BrewStudio) who I just noticed will be one of the speakers at this month’s CraftBrewers Conference. Also Mat Falco and John Galster.

No word on the identity of the babe on what I’m guessing is a snowplow. She’s eye candy in the magazine’s media kit.
